Is there a Latter-day Saint church in San Clemente?
Yes. The Marblehead Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints meets at 310 Avenida Vista Montana in San Clemente, California, with sacrament meeting on Sundays at 9:00 AM. The ward is part of the San Clemente California Stake, and everyone is welcome to attend at no cost.
How Latter-day Saints are organized locally
The Church organizes its members into local congregations called wards, and groups of wards into a stake. Members attend the ward that covers the neighborhood where they live. Marblehead Ward is one of the congregations in the San Clemente California Stake.
Other congregations meet in and around San Clemente as well. Which one is nearest to your home depends on your address, and the Church meetinghouse locator will show it. Guests are welcome at any of them, so you can attend ours whether or not it is your assigned ward.
Who we are
Latter-day Saints follow Jesus Christ and describe themselves as Christians. They read the Bible and also the Book of Mormon, which they regard as another testament of Christ. Church services are led by members who volunteer their time. Nobody in the ward is paid for serving.
Our members live across San Clemente and nearby communities such as Talega, Forster Ranch, Dana Point and San Juan Capistrano. We gather on Sundays to worship, and throughout the week to serve neighbors, support families and welcome anyone who wants to learn.
