What is Come, Follow Me?
Come, Follow Me is the study program of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for individuals, families and Sunday classes. Each week has a reading assignment from the scriptures and ideas for discussion, so members study at home and then talk about it together at church.
How it works
The program is free and available in the Gospel Library website and app. Each week covers a portion of scripture, with questions, activities and ideas for children and adults. Members read on their own or with family during the week, then Sunday classes build on what they studied.
The program is called home-centered and church-supported. Home is the first place of learning, and the Sunday classes add to it. That is why you may hear members mention the week's reading when you chat on Sunday.
The four-year rotation
Each year focuses on one volume of scripture, rotating through the Old Testament, the New Testament, the Book of Mormon, and the Doctrine and Covenants along with Church history. After four years, the cycle begins again. Anyone can join the reading at any week without having to catch up.
You can browse the full list on the Church's Come, Follow Me page. It is written for members, but visitors are welcome to read along and see what Latter-day Saints are studying.
Using it with your family
Families in San Clemente use it in different ways. Some read aloud at breakfast, some talk at dinner, and some treat it as personal study. It does not require anything special. A few minutes of reading and a conversation is enough.
Our study page points to the current week, so you will not have to work out where to start. If you have questions about how a family or a class can use it, use the contact page.
